Bobcat Families –
After we announced our make up days for weather, the state department of education offered the opportunity to change our calendar to count instructional time rather than instructional on-site days.
Therefore, we revamped our calendar, received a supportive vote from our staff and school board of education, and received approval from the state board of education.
Our new plan is to add 28 instructional minutes to each day beginning March 4th. If we do not have any more weather day cancellations, our last day of school will be Friday, May 24th.
The High School and Middle School will begin at 7:45 with the first bell ringing at 7:41. Late start Monday will begin at 8:20 with the first bell ringing at 8:16. Students will be dismissed each day at 3:24.
Elementary and Intermediate School will begin at 8:00 and students will be dismissed at 3:33.
Make sure to order your BMS yearbook before March 31! You can order online at ybpay.com using the code 9900124. #BobcatNation
With your help we can make sure everyone gets to school safely! #BobcatNation

Berryville Students Selected to Junior High All-Region Band
Students from Berryville High School and Middle School attended the Arkansas School Band and Orchestra Association Region Six Honor Band Clinic last month at Bentonville High School. Several hundred students from the Northwest Arkansas area including those from Harrison and Mountain Home auditioned for a place in one of two honor bands. Berryville had eleven students selected to the honor bands.
The seven high school students include: Israel Merida-Noriega 1st band 1st chair flute, Andrew Griesenauer 1st band 1st chair tuba, Maynor Valiente Cruz 1st band 1st chair french horn, Keily Diaz 1st band 2nd chair clarinet, Zoey Garrett 1st band 3rd chair bass clarinet, Molly Staats 2nd band 3rd chair oboe and Reagan Scarrow 2nd band 12th chair clarinet.
Middle school students selected include: Annabel Cox 2nd band 6th chair alto sax, Kilee Dodgen 2nd band 7th chair French horn, Andrea Grenado 2nd band 16th chair clarinet and Katherine Palma 2nd band 24th chair clarinet.
It is worth noting that Berryville had three students selected first chair representing the very best on their instrument in all of Northwest Arkansas at the Junior High level.
Their clinicians were Kristen Shepherd from Marion Arkansas and Gabby Chandler from Ft Smith Arkansas. ”We are very proud of these outstanding musicians and the way they represent our school and our community” said band director Tonya Blevins.”

Families and stakeholders are invited to complete this survey regarding the start of the 2024-2025 school year. Districts have the opportunity to begin school on August 12, instead of August 19th. Since we no longer have AMI days for inclement weather, an earlier start date will allow us to get more student days on the front end of the calendar.
