Camp Invention® is coming to Berryville Public Schools! In partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame® (NIHF), Berryville Intermediate School is excited to offer the nationally acclaimed Camp Invention® program to children entering K through 6th grade. This inspiring, weeklong summer experience provides opportunities for open-ended, hands-on exploration of science, technology, engineering and more! Taking on a variety of exhilarating activities each day, children have fun collaborating with friends, thinking creatively and inventing their own solutions to real-world challenges. The week begins on June 3, 2024 with Delene McCoy serving as Director. The all-new 2024 program will spark the imagination of both new and returning campers with an adventure full of inspiration, innovation and unforgettable discoveries! During this action-packed, confidence-boosting program, young innovators will: • Develop their own sports ball and customize a light-up game with a unique brand and logo as they explore athletics, design and innovation • Discover the science of light through illuminating inventions and fluorescent animals, then build a one-of-a-kind Glow Box using circuitry and ultraviolet light • Embark on an epic global operation to tackle water challenges around the world, learning the role that water plays with the help of a robotic lab-on-wheels • Star as a contestant on a prototyping game show, molding and shaping ideas into awesome inventions using everyday items and a DIY toolbox Early registration discounts are available! Youth Volleyball practice is canceled tonight due to weather. Practices will resume on Monday next week. (There will be practices during spring break for the players who can make it.)

Spring Break is coming soon!

Tonight at the school board of education meeting, Mr. Powell recognized school board president, Chad Hipps for 10 years of service on the Berryville School board. It was also very fitting that a group of second graders presented their research tonight to the board members on which monkey bars should be placed on the elementary playground. You see, in January for board appreciation month, school board members were presented with many letters of appreciation from students. Chad promised that every single letter would be read. To follow up on that promise, Chad made mention at the next (February) board meeting that students were requesting monkey bars for their playground. The students returned this month with their research. Chad made one final request to the Board of Education of the Berryville School District, and that was to purchase and install monkey bars on the elementary playground. Thank you, Chad, for ten years of service to the Berryville School District!

BMS parent teacher conferences will take place Thursday, March 14, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Teacher lunch break will be 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM. We will not be scheduling conferences this year. Just stop by at your convenience to speak with your student's teachers. We can't wait to see you! #BobcatNation

School will not be in session for students on March 14 & 15. March 14 is Parent Teacher Conferences. Each school will communicate specific information for their building. March 15 is a Professional Development Day for our staff.

Yesterday was Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day... We made the post, but it didn't get posted. SO, better late than never to celebrate our Maintenance Workers. They work tirelessly to keep our campuses looking great and functioning well! We appreciate you at #BobcatNation!

Berryville, AR – March 1, 2024 – To encourage more families to take advantage of the healthy choices available with school breakfast, Berryville Schools will celebrate National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) during March 4-8, 2024. Busy weekday mornings make it a challenge for many families to find time for a healthy breakfast. Fortunately, Berryville Schools offer nutritious school breakfasts, complete with fruit and low-fat or fat-free milk, to ensure students are fueled for learning every school day. The NSBW campaign theme, “Surfs Up with School Breakfast,” reminds the entire school community that school breakfast provides a healthy and energizing start to the day for students. Studies show that students who eat school breakfast are more likely to: • Reach higher levels of achievement in reading and math • Score higher on standardized tests • Have better concentration and memory • Be more alert • Maintain a healthy weight School nutrition professionals and students will be encouraged to show their enthusiasm for school breakfast from March 4-8 as the district celebrates NSBW with special menus, activities, and more. A healthy breakfast at the start of the day is a great way to ensure students are nourished and ready to learn. 5th and 6th Grade Travel Volleyball Practice starts tomorrow, Monday, March 4.

🟣🟡Reminder!!!🟡🟣 Our new schedule begins tomorrow morning! The High School and Middle School doors will open at 7:25 am. Classes will begin at 7:45 with the first bell ringing at 7:41. Late start Monday will begin at 8:20 with the first bell ringing at 8:16. Students will be dismissed each day at 3:24. Elementary and Intermediate School doors will open at 7:30 am. Classes will begin at 8:00 and students will be dismissed at 3:33.

Berryville Middle School's OM (Odyssey of the Mind) team brought home First Place from the Regional Competition this weekend in Division 2. The team consisted of a blend of 5 BMS students and 2 BIS students. Great job Bobcats! #BobcatNation

Make sure your student is prepared for the ATLAS test by practicing at home. This is a new platform and while we continue to prepare the students for the changes, you can also do this at home. #BobcatNation

BMS Students will take the ATLAS Writing Test on Wednesday, March 6. Please have your student to school on time and well rested. Other testing dates are April 30, May 1, and May 2. ATLAS has replaced the ACT Aspire test we usually take. #BobcatNation
