Student agendas are usually passed out during open house and orientation, but this year we will be distributing them at school. The timing and any associated cost will be communicated as soon as possible. #BobcatNation

Middle school is the perfect time to start working on skills our students will use their entire lives, like time management. Let's talk about tardies. Before we address the handbook we want to assure you of two things: 1) we will be very lax on tardies the first few weeks of school as 1/3 of our campus are new to our building, several classrooms have moved around, and we are all trying to get used to our surroundings and how to get from point A to point B. 2) If a student needs to use the restroom but there is not enough time between classes due to travel time from class to class they should go to their class, put their things down, and ask the teacher if they can go to the restroom.
Of course there will be exceptions from time-to-time. If your student is struggling getting to class on time please have them speak with their teachers. We are all willing to come up with a plan to address these situations.
Page 61 of the student handbook addresses tardies. The handbook will be linked below., but here is that excerpt.
TARDINESS AND CHANGING CLASSES
Four (4) minutes are allowed between classes. At the end of this time, students are
expected to be in the classroom. Three tardies in a class period will result in lunch
detention, and five tardies in a class will result in Saturday School. If the problem
persists, juvenile authorities will be notified.

Picking out what to wear to school can be so fun! Here are some common issues BMS has had that could result in a trip to the nurse for new clothes. Please remember we are a Bright Futures school. If you need clothing just ask a teacher, counselor, nurse, or any other staff member. The full student handbook is linked in the comments and the dress code is addressed on page 92. #BobcatNation

It is time to set your alarms and get back on schedule! Here is the 2024-2025 BMS bell schedule. #BobcatNation

This weekend would be a great time to figure out where you will be dropping off and picking up your student to avoid that stress come Monday! Your options for dropping off and picking up car riders are to enter Campbell Street via Freeman Avenue, exiting on College Avenue OR the circle drive on Freeman Avenue. Please leave Ferguson Street for buses and do not drop students off before 7:25 am. If you have any transportation changes please call the office by 2:30 pm so that information can be communicated to your student. When we work together we can ensure our students get to and from school safely! #BobcatNation

Let's help the middle school welcome their new nurse, Ravyn Whitson! "I’m from Tahlequah, OK. I’ve lived in Berryville for two years. I will be a nurse at the Middle School. I’m married to my husband Chris and we have three daughters, Mallory, Aubrey, and Quinn. We raise Mini Aussie Doodles and Dachshund puppies, put on barrel racings and ropings, enjoy spending time with our family and friends, camping, and going to concerts.
