Dear Parents and Guardians,
We're excited to share that Berryville Middle School is moving to a proficiency scale method of grading! 🌟 This new system gives a clearer picture of what your child knows, what they’re still learning, and how we can best support their growth. Here’s how the scale works:
1 – No Evidence of Understanding: The student has not yet demonstrated understanding of the skill or concept.
2 – Partial Understanding: The student shows some understanding but is missing key pieces and needs significant support.
3 – Developing Understanding: The student is on the right track but still makes errors or needs guidance to meet expectations.
4 – Proficient: The student consistently meets grade-level expectations independently.
5 – Mastery: The student shows deep understanding and can apply the skill or concept in new and advanced ways.
