Benjamin Winn, a native of Springdale, Arkansas is in his 2nd year of teaching music. This is his first year as the 3-5 Music Teacher at Berryville Intermediate. Before coming to Berryville, he was previously the Interim Vocal Music Teacher at Greenland School District in 2014 and Served as the Director of Music Ministries at Trinity United Methodist Church in Fayetteville for 2.5 Years. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education (B.M.E.) from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
As a college student at the University of Arkansas, Mr. Winn studied under several distiguished choral directors and artists including Dr. Stephen Caldwell, Dr. Todd Prickett, Amy Herzberg, David Malis and the Late Dr. Eddie W. Jones. While attending the University of Arkansas, Mr. Winn was a repeat member of several ensembles including Schola Cantorum, the university's premiere ensemble, The UA Inspirational Chorale, The UA Opera Theatre, and The UA Concert Choir.
As The Director of Music Ministries at Trinity United Methodist Church of Fayetteville, Mr. Winn's choir, The Trinity United Methodist Church Singers, peformed throughout the Northwest Arkansas Community. In April of 2013, Mr. Winn was invited as a distiguished director to perform with the Trinity United Methodist Church Singers at the University of Arkansas' Choral Arts Concert along side multiple University of Arkansas Choral Ensembles as the only community choir.
Mr. Winn remains very active with the American Choral Director's Association (ACDA) and the Arkansas Choral Director's Association (ArkCDA).
Mr. Winn is always grateful for the support of his colleagues with special attention to his mentors: Rhonda Hawley, Millie Peters, Cara Sedberry, Stephen Caldwell, and the late Geneva Powers and Eddie Jones.
